Top 8s update - change of date for Divs 3 and 6 only
The involvement of teams from Div 3 and Div 5 in the later stages of the Challenge Cup meant that, as in some previous seasons, a decisison had to be made to change the date of two Top 8s. The players involved have all been notified of the change, but for the benefit of spectators, the position will now be:
Monday 14th April: Premier, Division 1 and Division 2.
Tuesday 15th April: Divisions 4 and 6, plus the Challenge Cup final.
Wednesday 16th April: Divs 3, 5 and 7.
To avoid the need to change Top 8 dates in future, it is proposed that the Top 8s for Premier and Div 1 should in future take place on the Tueday, alongside the Challenge Cup final as it's extremely rare for teams from those divisions to progress to the final stages of the Cup. The Div 2, 3 and 4 Top 8s could then take place on the Monday and the Div 5,6 and 7 on the Wednesday.
