REPORTERS NEEDED FOR TOP 8 COVERAGE

The ever popular Divisional top 8 competitions are with us once again after an enforced  3 year absence with the Premier and Divs 1 and 2 playing on Mon 25 April,  Divs 3 & 4 the following night and Divs 5 & 6 on Wed 27 April.  All events to be held at the MKTTC venue, Kingston.

Back in 2019 the competition enjoyed extensive reporting coverage, which was provided by Nick Howard (Prem), myself (Div 1), Martin Johnson (Div 2), Chris Paddon (Div 3), Ed Lock (Div 5) and Mike Howard (sweeping up remaining Divs 4 & 6).  A good variety of scribes with Chris & Ed making their debut contributions. The reports dated 9th and 15th April 2019 are still on our news pages.

It would be good to have the same response from members this time round, so if you fancy writing a piece for your Division then please let  Chris Welch or I know and this will be included in a news item.  I can edit any reports if needed.  No doubt regulars Nick Howard and  Martin Johnson will be covering events from the Premier and Div 2 again, but any contributions from members with regard to the other Divisions would be appreciated and new writers welcomed.

Some readers may be interested to know that, historically, the ‘top 8’ is a relatively new competition for the League.  Inaugurated in 1986, the first Premier winner was Ian Doughty, then in his glorious pomp, and still in action this season representing Leighton Buzzard Van Hire.
