The latest week of matches in Division 2 featured the first 10-0 result of the season, as Woburn Sands Mosquitoes racked up the big win against luckless Little Horwood Wooden Tops.  Wooden Tops had just recorded their first win of the season, last week, but came down to earth with a bump, as the Mosquitoes trio of Andy Jenkins, Rob McPheat and James Molloy steamrollered their way to an emphatic win, with the loss of just six legs over the night. John Sharp lost out 11-9 in the fourth game, early on, then he and Andy Hooper lost out at 14-12 in game four of the doubles against James & Rob, and whilst Paul Reynolds managed to go to four game in all his singles, that's as close as it got.  The win for Mosquitoes moves them up to 2nd spot in the table, now just ten points adrift of the leaders, but with a match in hand, whilst James sits atop the Averages, unbeaten over 15 sets - the best singles record in the League, and team mate Rob is up to 3rd in the Averages.  Wooden Tops, meanwhile, remain just two points of the bottom off the table.

It was much closer as Milton Keynes Shambles took on Mursley Hawks, with no-one able to win all their games, and six of the ten sets going the distance.  Hawks edged the contest 6-4, as their trio of David Bartlett, Martin Johnson and Ian Spanswick each won twice, whilst for Shambles, Steve Jordan picked up two wins, Jim Robinson grabbed one win, and Steve / Jim sneaked a close doubles against Martin / Ian at 11-9 in the fifth leg.  Nick Markham was unlucky to go home without a win, as he twice went close in five games.  Hawks remain in third spot in the Division, and Shambles remain bottom, but they have closed to within two points of Wooden Tops.

In the final match, Leighton Buzzard Spitfires took advantage of the absence of high flying Derick Rodrigues from the lineup of leaders, Milton Keynes Sharks, to grab a 5-5 draw.  For Spitfires, Filip Simek and Dwight Edwards claimed two wins each, though lost out in the doubles to Rupert Greyling and Pedro Anasatacio, whilst Andy King went home winless, although was unlucky to lose out 12-10 in the fifth against Abhay Tijare.  For Sharks, Rupert also won once, but their saviour was Pedro, who claimed his first treble of the season in fine style, just dropping one singles leg during the evening.  Sharks stay top, although their lead is down to just five points, whilst Spitfires stay fifth, but with the mid table still being very close, they are still well in contention.

Player(s) of the Week : Pedro Anastacio, plus the Mosquitoes trio of Andy Jenkins / Rob McPheat / James Molloy.
