Super Sparrow takes down the Monarchs
It’s been a rough few weeks for the Monarchy….. But Martin Hall’s team were hoping to turn the tide with a match against stablemates Kings.
Martin was joined by Dave Beddall and Tomek to face off against Nick Howard, Guy Sparrow and Iain Lindsey.
Martin had a night to forget, as he went down in 5 against an impressive Iain Lindsey, before falling in 4 to Sparrow and 3 to Howard (the one glimmer of light, on an otherwise miserable night for the Kings captain).
Dave went down 3-0 to Sparrow, before dragging out 2 five setters against Howard and Lindsey.
First he pipped Howard to the post 11-7 in the 5th, before falling agonisingly close to Lindsey (11-9), who ground out an excellent win.
Tomek was rock solid to take wins against Howard and Lindsey, so it came down to a match of the unbeaten as he faced Sparrow in game 9.
After racing in to a 2-0 lead, Sparrow lost the next 2 to set up a tense decider. However, it was never that close in the final end, as Sparrow led from the off and finished off a fantastic treble - The first of the season with many more to come!
The doubles was all one way as Howard and Sparrow took down Dave and Tomek.
A fantastic treble by Sparrow, assisted beautifully by a very important double from Lindsey!
