Weeks beginning 22nd and 29th September 2003 - by Dave Murphy

Newport Pagnell started as they finished in their opening matches of the Milton Keynes Table Tennis League. Avengers won the title by three points last season with Milton Keynes Likely Lads coming second. By pure chance it was Likely Lads they faced in their first match and dominated it by winning 7-3, Dave Gatiss and Ryan Keates both gaining maximums with Keith Carrington winning one. The absence of Kevin Copperwheat for the Lads was certainly noticed with Dave Murphy and Neil Riddy winning one each joined by Kelvin Choong from relegated Sasaki also picking one up.

Newly promoted AHW Rapiers faced last years runners-up AHW Eagles in the Intermediate Division and quickly established how difficult the division could be with only Gerald Ridgeway winning the one against Geoff Callaway and the doubles to lose 8-2.

MK Centrists are looking to come straight back up to the Intermediate Division if their latest result are anything to go by. Nobby Tennison won all three against WS Data with Andy Hooper winning two and Terry Holland one and the doubles to win 7-3.
