Scorecard reminder
Please hand in your scorecards correctly and on time - by Dave Murphy
Incorrectly written scorecards and late arrivals could definently have a big impact on some of the teams in the Milton Keynes Table Tennis League. As the new league ruling quotes on page 7:
16(a)
The home team will provide a score card and clean ETTA approved 3-star balls.
The home team is responsible for ensuring the score card is filled in correctly and completely.
The home team will enter their players on the cards first - doubles players must be named/ identified.
Failure to comply will result in a fine of 2 points against the home team for a first offence and 5 points for each subsequent offence.
16(b)
The home team captain must send the match card to the registration and fixtures secretary or place it in the score card collection envelope at the centre immediately after the match.
Teams whose cards arrived more than 72 hours after a match (unless the secretary has been informed of a delay) will be fined 2 points for the first offence and 5 points for each subsequent offence.
Teams must realise that the fixtures and registration secretary has enough to do without filling in scorecards for teams who either forgot or couldn't be bothered. It will be very interesting to see the final league tables of the teams that this has affected and whether it has cost them the title or runners-up position.
