Paul Tomkins of MK Likely Lads beat Michael Wilkins of St Christopher Vets for the first time in his career in the Premiership of the Milton Keynes Table Tennis League. Despite Tomkins losing in the fifth to Martin Verdon 11-8, he carried on his good form and beat Wilkins in straight games 11-8, 11-9, 11-9. It did not get any better for Wilkins because he lost to Dave Murphy in the fifth 11-9, which was the sixth time in concession Murphy has beaten him in the league. Neil Riddy was supposed to be the Lads third player, but he fell asleep at home during the match after coming back from a weekend break. Murphy went on to beat Verdon in four, but it was new signing Steve Dobbins who both of his matches comfortably to see the Vets win 7-3.
