Jan Ove Waldner captured in print - by Dave Murphy
Johan Andersson of the Milton Keynes Junior Table Tennis Club has painted a picture of former world number one table tennis player Jan Ove Waldner. Andersson, aged 16, who was born in Sweden but has lived in this country for seven years took 30 hours to paint the picture.
I decided to ask him some questions about himself and how he came to paint this terrific picture.

- I was asked to do it by my Table Tennis Coach.
- How long have you been painting?

- Yes, I go every Wednesday evening in Bedford

- I am writing a letter to Jan Ove Waldner to ask him if he would sign it. If he does then maybe we will be able to sell it to raise money for the MK Junior Table Tennis Club.
This week the painting has been in an exhibition at Johan's school. Apart from his drawing talents he is also a gifted musician playing the trumpet in a band and has recently appeared at the Royal Albert Hall in London. Johan is not a bad table tennis player either, he is one of the best juniors in Milton Keynes and is ranked in the England Juniors.
