Title favourites Warriors got off to a good start against last year's relegated Premier team despite Powers' veteran skipper Pete Tilotson repeating his Summer League success over starlet Ollie Horswell. But the doubles was Powers only other win in an 8-2 defeat. This was a 'baptism of fire' for new girl Clare Styles, though she went to 5 games twice over.
