Match report

The evening began with routine wins for Dan against Mark and Dave against Kelvin. The first 5 ender of the night followed with Dakshin narrowly beating Julian 13-11 in the 5th.  Dave and Mark were cruising in the doubles at 1-0 and 9-1when they inexplicably lost 9 points in a row! They somehow responded to win 13-11 before capitulation in the 3rd prior to edging the 4th 14-12.

Match score was now 2-2 and Dan beat Dave 3-0 before Dakshin won his second 5 ender beating Mark 11-5 in the 5th. Kelvin then beat Julian 3-0 before a missed smash late in the 2nd end proved costly for Dave against Dakshin who went on to win the end 12-10 and the match 3-1 to complete his maximum.

From 2-2, it was now 2-6, and 2-8 was very much on the cards but a fantastic attacking display from Julian gave him a 3-0 win over Dan who was left shaking his head at some shots! Mark then completed the night with a come from behind victory over Kelvin.  From 0-2 he edged home in a tight match 11-8 in the 5th.

As the pundits keep telling us : ' There are no easy games in the Premier League '!
