Milton Keynes 2-7 Denham Village
Having never entered such an event before, and with many of our own players lacking experience in competitive games, we were unsure how the day would progress. The order of play was decided by the flip of a coin, with Minesh picking the short straw so to speak, and sat out the first match.

Nerves were a big factor with our players during the first few games, and although many were lost in 3 straight, the actual individual game scores were certainly much closer.

In the end the Denham Village players proved to be to good for our young and in-experienced squad, with only 11 year old Adam Thomas picking up two wins for the team.

Milton Keynes 5-4 Chesham High School H
The second match of the day was against Chesham High School H, who in their previous round won 9-0. With the flip of the coin again deciding the fate of play, it was Adam who lost the call and was rested during this match.

After sitting out the first match, Minesh was keen to get going and started the team of well by picking up his first win. Unfortunately Jack and Joe were unable to continue this form and lost the next 3 matches.

With Minesh continuing his good form, and Jack and Joe following this trend, the team proudly and confidently picked up their first win of the day.

Milton Keynes 8 V 1 Chesham High School F
With the team growing in confidence with every match, they were extremely hopeful of picking up their second win of the day. Once the routine flip of the coin had taken place, in which Joe was called to play, the match was soon underway.

The team started of positively with 2 wins out of 2, although they were a little on edge having to play 2 girls! Unfortunately, Joe was unable to continue this form losing a very close match to the young Sophie East.

The wins soon started flowing again with Adam displaying some real potential with his movement and control to come from behind and beat Peter Crichton. Joe soon got back to winning ways and finished the match with 2 wins to his credit, along with Minesh picking up all three (again!).

Final score being a very positive and exciting 8-1 win.
